Malan Breton Fashion Show at Cipriani NYC Presented by Style Fashion Week

Malan Breton (the designer) opened his first NYC retail shop following his training at Turnbull & Asser, and Scaasi. Malan Breton® HOMME (menswear) was introduced in 2010, and in 2016 Malan Breton® Bridal, Handbags, and Underwear. In 2016 for the European, and Asian market Breton introduced his line called Fantôme – Malan Breton.

The Brand is InStyle Magazines number eight most tweeted fashion brand for 2017. Malan Breton is known as “The Internets Fave Designer” (Yahoo News), and “one of New York City’s most celebrated designers of the past decade” (Amsterdam News).  Malan Breton, the designer, originating from Taipei, Taiwan, Malan Breton became the first designer to become a part of the cryptocurrency phenomenon, opening the first blockchain based online retail shop in fashion a partnership with Tokenly, and Soho Muse.

The collections can be found at department stores, and specialty boutiques around the globe, Breton is also known as a master of the made to measure suit, having apprenticed under the royal warrant. Malan Breton has a steadfast following of businessmen, career women, celebrities, politicians, and royals globally.

Malan Breton is the recipient of the 2016 FGI “Rising Star” award in Menswear, the 2015 European Fashion Council’s “Eirene” award, the 2015, and 2016 Taiwan Tourism Award for contributions in fashion, and media. In 2011 Malan Breton® and NBC Universal were a nominee for the WGSN Global Fashion Award  for Outstanding collaboration. Malan Breton, the founder, is also the recipient of the 2015 NYIFF Award for best documentary short, for his work as a director on the biographical fashion film “Malan Breton – A Journey to Taiwan”.

Interview with Tory Burch CEO & Designer Tory Burch

Tory Burch is Chairman, CEO and Designer of Tory Burch, an American sportswear and lifestyle brand. Raised in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, Tory graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in art history, then moved to New York to pursue a career in the fashion industry. She worked in public relations and marketing for several American designers, including Ralph Lauren, Vera Wang and Narciso Rodriguez at Loewe.

She launched Tory Burch in 2004 with a small boutique on Elizabeth Street in Manhattan, and since then the brand has grown into a global business with more than 160 freestanding stores in cities from New York and Los Angeles to Shanghai, Milan and, Paris, as well as a presence in more than 3,000 department and specialty stores worldwide. Toryburch.com is the company’s biggest store and one of the brand’s seven global digital commerce sites; the website is also home to Tory Daily, an online magazine. In September 2015, she launched Tory Sport, a performance activewear collection with clothing, bags, shoes and accessories for Running, Studio, Tennis and Swim, as well as Coming & Going, a category of pieces that can be worn before and after a workout.”.

Tory Burch has been recognized with numerous awards, including the CFDA for Accessory Designer of the Year, Glamour’s Women of the Year, Forbes’s Most Powerful Women in the World, Vanity Fair’s International Best-Dressed List and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s Sandra Taub Humanitarian Award. Her first book, Tory Burch In Color (Abrams, 2014), was a New York Times Best Seller.

A dedicated philanthropist, Tory launched the Tory Burch Foundation in 2009 to empower women entrepreneurs. Through access to capital, education programs and networking opportunities, the foundation invests in the success and sustainability of women-owned small businesses.

In addition, Tory serves on the boards of the Council of Fashion Designers of America, the Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, the Barnes Foundation and the Jay H. Baker Retailing Center at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. She is also an inaugural member of the Presidential Ambassadors for Global Entrepreneurship. Tory lives in New York City with her three sons, Henry, Nicholas and Sawyer.

Reviews at Footwear Show New York Expo

Phyllis Rein is excited to present her company: Footwear Show New York Expo, LLC (FSNYE). This is the culmination of Phyllis’ greater than 30 years of experience in the fashion industry.

Phyllis began her career as a sales manager at the retail chain CIGNAL, a division of Merry-Go-Round Enterprises at their upscale Great Neck, New York location.

From there she was hired as an Associate Buyer for The Fur Vault personally picked by Mr. Fred Schwartz (“Fred the Furrier”). Her sales at its Westbury, New York store exceeded all store branches earning her the title of “Million Dollar Baby”.

In 1989, Phyllis transitioned to the Fashion Footwear Industry when Mr. Dick Jacobson, its President & CEO offered her a position at the Fashion Footwear Association of New York (FFANY). She was hired as an Account Executive and swiftly moved up the ranks and promoted to Executive Vice President by the Board of Directors.

Phyllis not only spearheaded the association’s showcases, she was intimately involved in its philanthropic endeavors.  In 2014 she was awarded the prestigious Recognition of Outstanding Commitment and Dedication Award by FFANY and the Fashion Footwear Industry.
