6th Annual Bagelup Event @ Citi Field’s Heineken Diamond Lounge New York-2025

New York BagelFest Returned with First-ever Growth Lab, a Lineup of Emerging Bagel Makers, an Industry Mixer, and Expanded Family Programming

Uniting bakers, brands, food media, and fans for a weekend celebrating the iconic carb.

New York BagelFest, presented by King Arthur Baking Company, returned on Sunday, November 16th, 2025, at Citi Field, marking its largest and most expansive edition to date. Since its debut in 2019, the festival has evolved from a grassroots gathering of bagel lovers into the premier event for the bagel industry, drawing national media, culinary talent, suppliers, and thousands of attendees each year.

This year introduces two new companion events designed to support the business and cultural future of the bagel world: the BagelFest Growth Lab and the BagelFest Inner Circle Industry Mixer, both taking place on Saturday, November 15th, in New York City.

The BagelFest Growth Lab took place on Saturday, November 15, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at 120 Walker Street, 5th Floor, New York, NY, 10013. Designed as both an incubator and tasting experience, the Growth Lab highlights early-stage bagel makers traveling from across the United States and Canada to present their work to the public, media, and fellow industry pros.

Attendees sampled small-batch bagels from the next generation of bakers and take part in a live Q&A hosted by the Bread Bakers Guild of America, focused on the realities of starting and scaling a modern bagel business.

Ellie Gulick and Gray Cowan, co-owners of Van Buren Bagel, say “We are so excited to be part of the Growth Lab! For us, this is an incredible opportunity to connect with others in the bagel community, exchange ideas, and learn from those who have been in our shoes.”

Jake Rubin, Owner of Holey Dough & Co. echoes the sentiment: “I’m excited to connect with fellow bakers and industry veterans to learn from their experiences and apply that insight as I grow Holey Dough & Co. The Growth Lab is an incredible opportunity to learn, share, and push our craft forward.”

Immediately following the Growth Lab, the weekend continued with the BagelFest Inner Circle Industry Mixer from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on the 6th Floor at the same location, 120 Walker Street.

The mixer is an evening of relaxed networking for bakery owners, food founders, culinary creatives, media, and industry professionals who are shaping the future of the bagel landscape. Guests had   the opportunity to connect with peers, share insights, form collaborations, and meet fellow makers ahead of the main festival at Citi Field the following day.

The mixer was created as a space for conversation, community, and exchange among those who work behind the scenes of the world’s most beloved carb.

Together, the Growth Lab and Industry Mixer form a new professional pillar for BagelFest weekend, designed to support the next generation of bagel entrepreneurs, while strengthening networks across the existing ecosystem of culinary innovators.

“The Growth Lab exists to spotlight rising bagel makers with the potential to shape the future of our industry. By giving them visibility and connecting them with mentors and seasoned professionals,” says BagelFest founder Sam Silverman. “We’re building a community that supports the next generation of bagel bakers around the world.

The full public festival took place on Sunday, November 16th, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Citi Field, in the Heineken Diamond Lounge (indoors).  It featured vendors, live judging, tastings, and the return of BagelFest’s signature competitions including Best of the Fest, Best Bagel, and Best of the Boroughs.

Judging for the 2025 competitions will be led by an expanded panel of experts, representing some of the most influential voices in food, baking, storytelling, and hospitality.

Silverman says, “Being an Expert Judge at BagelFest is no small task. Winning can redefine a business’s future—as it has for PopUp Bagels and Starship Bagel—so we’ve selected two dozen of the most respected voices in the industry to make the call. Their expertise, influence, and passion for this incredible food speak for themselves.”

With the addition of the Growth Lab and Industry Mixer, and a breadth of expert judges, the 2025 edition of BagelFest further strengthens its mission to celebrate and connect every layer of the bagel world. Public relation was handled by Olga González, founder and CEO of Pietra Communications.

New York Veterans Day Parade-2025

BY: Adal Hussain, Chief  Editor for World Liberty TV, @ 25th St &  5th Ave NYC, Tuesday Nov 11th 2025

The nation’s largest Veterans Day event, the New York City Veterans Day Parade hosted by the United War Veterans Council, will return to Fifth Avenue on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, for its 106th year.

This year, the parade is also marking the 250th anniversary of America’s military and will offer an extra nod of honor and recognition for the U.S. Army, Marine Corps and Navy.

The 2025 event’s grand marshals are former Army Staff Sgt. Clinton Romesha, Stephen Peck, and retired Navy Capt. Sunita “Suni” L. Williams.

President Barack Obama presented Romesha with the Medal of Honor for heroism in Afghanistan. “Romesha, the fourth living service member to receive the medal for service in Operation Iraqi Freedom or Operation Enduring Freedom, earned the Medal of Honor for actions Oct. 3, 2009, at Combat Outpost Keating in the Kamdesh district of Afghanistan’s Nuristan province,” according to the Department of Defense. Romesha is also a spokesman for American Warrior Partnership.

Peck, a Marine Corps veteran, was the longtime president and CEO of U.S.VETS, the nation’s largest veteran services nonprofit. He remains an active advocate for homeless veterans.

The son of Oscar-winning actor Gregory Peck, he served as a lieutenant in the 1st Marine Division near Da Nang, Vietnam, from 1969 to 1970.

Williams, a NASA astronaut, flew Navy helicopters in the Gulf War, led Hurricane Andrew rescue missions and more before spending nine months in space aboard the International Space Station due to technical problems.

The 2025 grand marshals “represent some of our nation’s most dedicated and most accomplished service members who have continued to serve their country and their fellow veterans well after leaving the military,” Mark Otto, president and executive director of the United War Veterans Council, said in a statement.

The parade is expected to feature nearly 300 marching and vehicle units and welcome 20,000 participants from across America, representing every service branch of the military and every era since World War II.

The parade traditionally marches up Fifth Avenue between 25th and 45th streets in Manhattan from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.

In person, spectators can get a view anywhere along Fifth Avenue from the step-off point, 25th Street, to its end on 45th Street.

NY City’s Fifty Second Village Halloween Parade-2025

BY: Adal Hussain, Chief  Editor for World Liberty TV, @ Greenwich Village  NYC, Friday Oct 31st 2025

About 80,000 costumed New Yorkers marched along Sixth Avenue from Canal Street to 15th Street on Halloween night for the 52nd Village Halloween Parade, this year with the theme “It’s a Potluck!”

The parade was planned in conjunction with local food rescue organization City Harvest — and aimed to unite attendees through their food-themed costumes.

First held in 1973, the Village Parade has become a cultural fixture in the city, embraced by families, artists and members of the queer community as a home.

Jeanne Fleming, who has served as the parade’s artistic and producing director for 45 years, said she takes pride in how the parade is a space that welcomes and nurtures all attendees.

“What we began to think about is that the parade feeds the soul and the heart and the imagination and the spirit,” Fleming said. “But when we made City Harvest our grand marshal, they feed the body.”

She added that a number of issues, including the famine in Gaza and the fragility of SNAP benefits in the United States, sparked the initial idea for a parade theme about food.

Fleming also thought about the driving role food plays in her own life, as something that catalyzes connection and eases conflict.

“What was the thing that brought people together since the beginning of time?” Fleming said. “Sharing a meal, breaking bread together, passing a bowl.”

The parade garnered more participants as the night carried on, building momentum even as strong winds whipped hair and costume components around and pedestrian traffic jams built up near barricades.

After passing by Washington Square Park and through Greenwich Village, the parade came to an end on Sixth Avenue and 15th Street — and if it had any of its intended effect, that sense of community might just last all year.

New Yorkers broke out their tastiest costumes to fit with this year’s theme – potluck, to celebrate this year’s grand marshal, City Harvest, which was honored for feeding hungry New Yorkers.

“It’s all about abundance. There’s enough for everyone so a feast for us all,” said a parade-goer dressed as John Lennon.

The parade was packed with plenty to see, including the return of the giant puppets, along with music from around the world, art and dancing. Those marching in this year’s low temperatures, bracing the wind, consider it a creative outlet.

Grand Marshall this year than ours — City Harvest— New York City’s first and largest food rescue organization. We honor them for their response to the urgent and on-going demand for food assistance and a commitment to sustainability.

This year they will rescue more than 86 million pounds of food and deliver it to New Yorkers experiencing food insecurity. Since 1982, they have rescued more than one billion pounds of food and provided it for free to New Yorkers in need.

“As New York’s first and largest food rescue organization, we are thrilled to serve as the Grand Marshal of the Village Halloween Parade—a beloved, New York institution,” said Jilly Stephens, CEO of City Harvest.

New York City’s 52nd Annual Village Halloween Parade-2025, was very well attended, Thousands in attendance from all over the world and millions more watching it live.

Interview with Dwight “Superman” Howard NBA Champion -2025

Dwight “Superman” Howard is an NBA Champion, having won his only NBA title with the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2019-2020 season.

After being a dominant force for the Orlando Magic, leading them to the NBA Finals in 2009, his championship came late in his career with the Lakers.

Nicknamed “Superman” for his athletic prowess, he is an NBA champion, eight-time All-Star, eight-time All-NBA Team honoree, five-time All-Defensive Team member, and three-time Defensive Player of the Year.

After the 2021–22 NBA season, Howard moved overseas and signed with the Taoyuan Leopards of the T1 League. In his lone season with the team, he was named a T1 All-Star.

He was elected twice to the 2025 Basketball Hall of Fame as an individual player and member of the Redeem Team.

Standing 6 feet 10 inches (2.08 m) and weighing 265 pounds (120 kg), Howard played the center position. He led the NBA in rebounding from 2007 to 2010, and again from 2012 to 2013. Howard’s rebounding was in part facilitated by his extraordinary athleticism; his running vertical leap was tested at 39.5 inches (100 cm) in 2011, rare for a player of his size.

He demonstrated this skill in the 2007 Slam Dunk Contest, where he completed an alley oop dunk from teammate Jameer Nelson while slapping a sticker onto the backboard at 12 ft 6 in (3.81 m) high.

About the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI): Founded by President Bill Clinton in 2005, the Clinton Global Initiative is a community of doers representing a broad cross section of society and dedicated to the idea that we can accomplish more together than we can apart.

Through CGI’s unique model, more than 10,000 organizations have launched more than 4,200 Commitments to Action — new, specific, and measurable projects and programs – that are making a difference in the lives of more than 500 million people in 180 countries.

It was our 16th Annual apprecance, covering the opening of CGI in 2005, we have been meeting and seeing the great people work in hand in hand helping people on top of people.

President Clinton has done so much for humanity through his CGI, in the 20th years, touching close to 500 million people worldwide, just take a step back and think about what has been done here.

I personally am a very big fan of CGI and a supporter, by contributing videos and blogs through our World Liberty TV, Humanitarian Channels and Blogs.

We would go as far as to say, President Clinton, is the Gandhi of this Era, for the what he is doing with his CGI. Truly a great man, caring about people and helping them through his contacts, year in and out.

Jake Paul VS Tank Davis NYC Press Conference-2025

The Problem Child, Jake “El Gallo de Dorado” Paul (12-1, 7 KOs) and Gervonta “Tank” Davis (30-0-1, 28 KOs) will meet face-to-face to preview their highly-anticipated Most Valuable Promotions and Netflix event.

The press conference will be held at 6:00pm ET today at Palladium Theater in New York City. Doors opened at 5pm. The event was hosted by Brian Custer.

This bout was initially supposed to take place at State Farm Arena in Atlanta. Georgia and boxing officials there came to their senses and passed on the fight, only for its neighboring southern state and their athletic commission to gleefully pick up the scraps and continue the ridiculous charade of a match between two fighters who have no business in the ring with each other.

Paul is listed at 6-1 and 200 pounds, while Davis (30-0-1, 29KOs), a three-time world title holder across two weight divisions, fought his last match in March against Lamont Roach Jr. at the lightweight limit of 135 pounds on a 5-foot-5 frame.

Most Valuable Promotions CEO Nakisa Bidarian said the fight will be contested at a maximum weight of 195 pounds, over 10, three-minute rounds with both fighters wearing 12-ounce gloves. Davis has fought primarily with eight-ounce gloves, while Paul fought Tyson with 14-ounce gloves, and his other fights were with 10-ounce gloves.

Win or lose, the result won’t count towards their professional boxing records, and the fight will be judged by three people approved by the athletic commission in Florida.

“I’m much quicker than him,” Davis countered. “He’s much stronger and much bigger, but we all know that it’s harder for taller fighters to fight a shorter one.

He’s decent and he’s gonna hold up for a couple of rounds – but once it gets hot in there, you know how things play out.

“He said he gonna out-box me? Whoop-de-doo,” Davis said, which drew a laugh from the Palladium crowd.
