See this interview in detail as well as Berlanga’ s son modeling. Edgar Berlanga Jr. is a professional boxer known as “The Chosen One”, famous for his powerful knockout streak and Nuyorican heritage. He competes in the super middleweight division.

Berlanga made his professional debut on April 29, 2016, scoring a first-round knockout (KO) victory against Jorge Pedroza at Isla San Marcos in Aguascalientes City, Mexico.

He has gone on to compile a record of 23–2, with 18 knockouts, 16 coming by first-round stoppage.

Edgar Berlanga, of Brooklyn, New York, is a super middleweight challenger. After a successful amateur career with more than 160 fights, Berlanga started his professional career in April 2016, and by December 2020 he had a record of 16-0 with all his victories in the first round. Since then, Berlanga has gone 6-1 with just one KO.

 

Berlanga has notable victories over Padraig McCrory, Roamer Alexis Angulo, Marcelo Coceres and Jason Quigley.

Edgar Berlanga officially signed a multi-fight promotional deal with Zuffa Boxing in April 2026.

Promotional Debut: Fought and defeated Steven Butler via seventh-round TKO on July 26, 2026, headlining Zuffa Boxing 09 at the Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Reason for Signing: Berlanga cited Dana White and Nick Khan as business/marketing geniuses capable of maximizing his star power and career trajectory.
