The New York International Automobile Show, Twenty Eleven

Traditionally marking the end of the auto show season, the NY Auto Show is often full of surprises. With luxury German automakers having consistent debuts, it’s also become a staple for Hyundai, Kia, Subaru, Nissan and Scion. Debuts planned or rumored for the 2011 show include the 2012 Subaru Impreza, Hyundai Accent, Chevy Malibu, Nissan Versa, Volkswagen Beetle, Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8, Mercedes A-Class Concept.

The 2014 Jaguar XKR-S GT is Unveiled During the New York International Auto Show

Besides sports sedan XJR, Jaguar has prepared another premiere for this year’s Motor Show. It’s XKR GT-S, which will be produced in an exclusive run of only 30 pieces, and all of 30 pieces are intended for the North American market.

It is used as the XKR-S, which means that the facility cares 5.0 liter V8 engine with a compressor that has 550KS and 680 Nm, in combination with the six-speed automatic transmission.

Top speed is limited to 170mph, while its acceleration from 0 to 60 mph is 3.9 seconds. Definitely another positive surprise from the Jaguar, but customers in Europe will be certainly disappointed.

Although Jaguar officially launched the car at the New York Auto Show, it is not scheduled to go on sale until the summer, when it is expected to cost $174,895.
