Phyllis Rein is excited to present her company: Footwear Show New York Expo, LLC (FSNYE). This is the culmination of Phyllis’ greater than 30 years of experience in the fashion industry.

Phyllis began her career as a sales manager at the retail chain CIGNAL, a division of Merry-Go-Round Enterprises at their upscale Great Neck, New York location.
From there she was hired as an Associate Buyer for The Fur Vault personally picked by Mr. Fred Schwartz (“Fred the Furrier”). Her sales at its Westbury, New York store exceeded all store branches earning her the title of “Million Dollar Baby”.

In 1989, Phyllis transitioned to the Fashion Footwear Industry when Mr. Dick Jacobson, its President & CEO offered her a position at the Fashion Footwear Association of New York (FFANY). She was hired as an Account Executive and swiftly moved up the ranks and promoted to Executive Vice President by the Board of Directors.

Phyllis not only spearheaded the association’s showcases, she was intimately involved in its philanthropic endeavors. In 2014 she was awarded the prestigious Recognition of Outstanding Commitment and Dedication Award by FFANY and the Fashion Footwear Industry.

FSNYE’s mission is to support and preserve the footprint and the vibe of the Shoe Shows in NYC during “FFANY” Market Week. FSNYE is a recognized management company that produces hotel shoe shows during “FFANY” Market Week.
FSNYE organizes and produces a networking platform for buyers and sellers in the shoe industry. Promoting a consistent & vibrant marketplace two times a year in June and December. Shopping the collections and latest trends under one roof makes it efficient and easy to do business in NYC.

It was a truly a great 3 days of showcase of some of the best, shoes, for men and women, every style you can think of was on display. South African had a huge representation at the show, bringing wonderful designs of shows, never seen before in the USA. They had wonderful designer bags made from cow leather and sustainable recycled materials. One of the designers showed us a picture with Idris Alba, superstar actor, wearing his shoes.

A cocktail took place at the end of first day, where people drank Champagne and sipped on wine and networked amongst themselves, the Cocktail hour was sponsored by The South African Consulate here in New York.
