Errol “The Truth” Spence Jr. VS Terence “Bud” Crawford Mega Fight-2023

Undefeated boxing superstars and pound-for-pound greats Errol “The Truth” Spence Jr. and Terence “Bud” Crawford verbally sparred and provoked the other with sharp and sometimes comical one-liners during a lively press conference Wednesday in New York to preview their clash for the undisputed welterweight championship on Saturday, July 29 in a SHOWTIME PPV (8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT) from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas headlining a Premier Boxing Champions event.

“I’m the biggest (fish). He’s not catching me with no damn fishing pole,” Spence said, continuing the war of metaphors with Crawford, who promised to “gut” Spence in the ring. “He better come with a submarine. I’m the biggest shark. You ain’t catching Moby Dick with a fishing pole.”

“Fish fillet,” Crawford responded. “I like to go fishing,” he said at another point. “Everyone knows that’s my hobby.”

The unified WBC, WBA and IBF Champion Spence and WBO champion Crawford completed back-to-back, coast-to-coast press conferences in Times Square as they near their long anticipated clash to crown the first undisputed welterweight world champion in the four-belt era.

The press conferences in Beverly Hills and New York City can be watched on Wednesday streamed live on two giant outdoor LED video displays on billboards overlooking Times Square, the first time that SHOWTIME® has ever live-streamed a boxing press event atop a billboard in Midtown Manhattan.

Spence vs. Crawford will be highlighted by three episodes of the Emmy® Award-winning series ALLACCESS from SHOWTIME Sports with ALLACCESS: SPENCE VS. CRAWFORD Episode One premiering on Saturday, July 8 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT and Episode Two debuting on Saturday, July 15 at 9:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. PT with an Epilogue days after the fight.

Tickets for the live event, which is promoted by Man Down Promotions, TBC Promotions and TGB Promotions, are available through AXS.com.

Here is what the press conference participants had to say Wednesday from the Palladium Times Square:

ERROL SPENCE JR.This is the biggest fight in boxing. When you look at your styles, and know our mentalities, you know neither of us are gonna want to break. I feel like someone is gonna break on fight night.

“I’m ready to show people that I’m one of the best welterweights of all time. Don’t miss this fight. Because I’m gonna show everyone why I’m breaking people.

“I’ve done everything that I said I was gonna do. The last thing left to do is beat Terence Crawford. He’s a great fighter, but I’m gonna break him and show everyone why I’m the best fighter in boxing, period.

“All the titles I took; I took them from the champions. You line ‘em up, I’m gonna knock ‘em down. It doesn’t matter what happens, I get the job done.

“He can show what he wants to show. He might go on and do his thing after I beat him and prove he’s an all-time great. But he can stop that nonsense because I’m winning on July 29.

“We have to show these other fighters that there are rewards in taking risks. The best have to fight the best.”

TERENCE CRAWFORD: “This is a fight that’s been marinating. This is greatness that you’re going to see on July 29. I’ve been preparing my whole life for this moment. Moments like these don’t come often, and this is my time.

“July 29 I can assure you, you’re gonna walk away and say, ‘Terence Crawford is special.’ You’re gonna mark me down as one of the greatest of all time.

“I rise to the occasion when I have the odds stacked against me. I’m a fan of Errol, but this is business. I see myself beating him. I’ve visualized it numerous times before.

“I like to go fishing. Everyone knows that’s my hobby. They’ve all been caught before. Every last one of them. I got a big enough hook for Errol. We actually already caught him, and we’re reeling him in right now.

Being undisputed is gonna mean everything to me. July 29 you’re gonna see a Terence Crawford that you’ve never seen before. Errol may bring the best out of me.”

DERRICK JAMES, Spence’s Trainer: “I can’t wait. Everyone has been hoping to see this. I know that Crawford is coming with his ‘A game’ and Errol will be on his ‘A game.’ You’re gonna see a phenomenal competition. Now, it’s work time. We’re gonna be who we are. Put the pressure on, break him down and win the fight.”

BRIAN “BO MAC” MCINTYRE, Crawford’s Trainer:  “This is how the fight is gonna go. It’s gonna be tough. Real tough. I tip my hat to what Errol has accomplished. The first couple of rounds will be tough, but then we’re gonna start walking away with the fight, like we always do. We’ve stopped the last 10 opponents, and Errol might be number 11.”

TOM BROWN, President of TGB Promotions: This fight is really as big as it gets. We have the best two fighters in the world, unbeaten and in their prime. We haven’t seen fighters with skills like this since Sugar Ray Leonard and Tommy Hearns.”

STEPHEN ESPINOZA, President of SHOWTIME Sports:“I’ve described this as the perfect fight, and that’s no exaggeration. It has every element that boxing fans would want. Everything is at stake on July 29.”

Queens Pride Parade, Queens NY-2023

The Queens Pride Parade and Multicultural Festival is the second oldest and second largest pride parade in New York City. Founded in 1993, it is held annually on the first Sunday in June, in the neighborhood of Jackson Heights.

The parade was founded by Daniel Dromm and co-chaired by Maritza Martinez to raise the visibility of the LGBTQ community in Queens and memorialize Jackson Heights resident Julio Rivera.

Queens also serves as the largest transgender hub in the Western hemisphere and is the most ethnically diverse urban area in the world.

The Queens Pride Parade formed in response to Rivera’s murder and, more directly, to the 1992 homophobic outcry over the inclusion of gay and lesbian content in the Children of the Rainbow curriculum, which was designed to teach children tolerance of all of New York City’s diverse communities.

As a result, former NYC Council Finance Chair Daniel Dromm, who was then a public school teacher in the borough’s Community School District 24 (where the controversy was centered), came out as openly gay and decided to counter the ensuing propaganda with a family-friendly celebratory parade that would promote LGBT visibility and pride, and be based in a neighborhood where many closeted gay people lived.

On November 22, 1992, the initial planning meeting was held in Dromm’s Flushing apartment, and the formation of the Queens Lesbian and Gay Pride Committee (QLGPC) followed soon after at a meeting of Queens Gays and Lesbians United (Q-GLU).

Co-chaired by Dromm and Cuban-born LGBT rights activist Maritza Martinez, QLGPC canvassed neighborhood gay bars for donations and support. Dromm later recalled that some bar owners were resistant, “It was a very quiet lesbian and gay community — a large one but not a very visible one. [People were worried] that if they became visible, they would pay a price.”

The first Queens Pride Parade and Multicultural Festival took place on Sunday, June 6, 1993, and an estimated 10,000 people attended. The parade route ran from 89th to 75th Streets along 37th Avenue, which was painted with a lavender line.

The accompanying stage show featured drag queen and transgender performers, who were also pivotal beforehand in helping to raise money and promote the parade at the gay bars where they regularly entertained. Martinez gave a bilingual speech, with the following spoken in Spanish.

The 2023 New Queens Pride Grand Marshals represent the great leadership, advocacy and diversity of the world’s borough.

We are proud to announce that Linda Lee, New York City Council Member, Lynn Schulman, New York City Council Member, Selvena N. Brooks-Power, New York City Council Member, Shekar Krishnan, New York City Council Member.

Drag Story Hour, a creative arts program, CUNY LGBTQIA+ Consortium, a collective group who’s mission is to preserve LGBTQIA+ history, offer programs, exhibits, events, and training, and Ceyenne Doroshow, an activist, community organizer, and Executive Director & Founder of G.L.I.T.S., will be the honorary Grand Marshals for the 2023 Queens Pride Parade.

Since 1993, Queens Pride continues to promote the visibility and accomplishments of the LGBT community and to foster acceptance by the many cultures and religions represented in our borough.

Thousands of people in attendance, many political leaders and organizations in attendance, it was a great parade, entertainment was first class, many vendors you can buy items from.

It was 13th Annual attendance by World Liberty TV, LGBTQ+ Channels and blogs and LGBTQ+ Photo-Gallery. Click here for more information.

Humanitarians of the World Inc., Homeless Presentation in Cancun Mexico-2023

We went to Cancun Mexico from May 27th 2023 till June 3rd 2023. As we travelled the World we take many gifts for Homeless people living in the Streets. For our Cancun Mexican North American, Humanitarians of the World Inc., (www.hotwinc.org) . We took close to 30 bags filled with gifts for the homeless.

ROSA :First person we met was an older Mexican lady by the name of Rosa, who was 63 years old and has been living in the park for over 20 years, no family or friends, according to Rosa when we interviewed here. She begs for money from local cars going by, many times many people who go to work, stop by and give her money.

She also went to say, she sleeps behind the tree in the evenings in the park, according to Rosa, there is always police officers patrolling the area and she feels safe there.

Lope and Fernando :, both homeless living on a street corner, no shoes, dirty clothes sitting in mud. So both of them are friends, they have family living in Mexico City, they moved to Downtown Cancun many years ago, got involved with Alcohol abuse, went to rehabs could not kick the habit. Lived on the streets for most of their lives.  So they are on the street corner panhandling, soon as they have enough money they buy beer and Tequila they both share.

They both asked me for some Peso’s, so when I asked them what you need the money for, they said a beer. So I told told them since they were honest about it.  How about i buy you a plate of food each with a soft drink each, they said beer would be better. But they took my offer, I ended up buying, a Beef Taco and an Empanada as well as a Coco Cola for both of them as well as giving them a bag to each one of them.

Pablo (AKA Pablito) A very Young Kid in his Twenty’s has deep mental issues, Pablo was not able to speak too well , he had problem’s speaking. We spoke to an friend who lives with him on the streets with Pablo. He told us that he met Pablo 2 years ago, on the streets and is always quite, has family who does not care about him, his father was alcoholic and mother a drug addict. When Pablo was born he had birth defects, he cannot speak properly, does not sleep too well at night. He went on to say since Pablo does not speak or tell him too much he could not tell us too much about him.

Day Workers making no income: A lot of others we gave Gifts and basic necessities, were day labors who hung around Downtown Cancun area, looking for Jobs. A lot of the guy’s doing day labor jobs. Had bad experiences, one guy buy the name of Chicko , said he worked for an moving company for 1 week and his boss told him that he will pay him , at the end of the week . So after working for 7 days when it came to pay day, the boss never showed, he disappeared.

Chicko never got any of the money which he needed desperately to pay for his rent. He lives with his wife in a room. If he cannot pay the rent, he might have to move back with his wife’s parents, who are already struggling with 12 people living in a small apartment. So I asked Chicko through our interpreter, did he file a report or tell the police about his situation, he said. It is not worth it you need to file court papers, you need money for that and he does not have it. So there is nothing can be done. But he did tell me that when he gets a job, he wants to be paid daily or he will not work, as he said it’s better to lose one day’s pay then seven days pay.

A lot of his friends had similar stories, and experiences, 2 of them became homeless and started living on the streets. Keeping in mind these are good people who are willing to work and do the right thing in life and get caught up with the wrong people and their life’s take a different direction.

I thank (Allah) , God. That he gives me the energy and stamina and wisdom to help these people with donating some gifts and make these people important for that few minutes and let them know they too are someone in society, Human beings who are down and out on their look.

I have been a Humanitarian for over 45 years, helping folks like these throughout the world, without ever taking a single penny for my services. Acts of humanity is a great thing to do in this life. Do as much as you can, Finically, Giving Gifts and if you are not in any position to do anything just say a prayer, that will be enough.

We are looking for  Money  donations, so we can continue to do our Work Worldwide, with our Humanitarians of the World Inc, Your Contribution is Tax Deductible fully allowable by law. Click here to contribute.

Tour of Isla Mujeres in Cancun Mexico-2023

Our next Stop on our Cancun Mexico travel was to Isla Mujures, Isla Mujeres is a beautiful, peaceful paradise just across the Bahia de Mujeres (Bay of Women) from Cancun, Mexico. Isla Mujeres is more laid-back and tranquil than Cancun, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty to do, it just means you can do nothing at all or fill your day with water sports, shopping, exploring and making new friends

Known for beautiful white sand beaches, calm crystal clear turquoise waters and the friendliest locals in the Mexican Caribbean. Isla’s diversity, from the fisherman, artists and musicians to divers, chefs and ex-pats, make up a community unlike any other.

With the beauty of the Caribbean, the heritage of the Mayans, and the easygoing charm of the people, Isla Mujeres has become a haven for people from all over the world.

There were so many things to see at the Isla Mujures, we had the pleasure of viewing the following sites during our all day trip.

Isla’s Beaches ~ Playa Norte:Playa Norte (North Beach) is considered one of the best beaches in all of Mexico. The soft white sand, palm trees and water so blue the sky looks pale, make it the perfect place to relax and unwind from the rigors of life.

Hacienda Mundaca: Built by the famous pirate Fermin Mundaca, the Hacienda includes ruins, winding paths through the shady grounds and a solar clock garden dedicated to La Triguena.

Zocolo is located at the center. Not much happens during the day but if you decide to extend your visit through the evening, you’ll often see dances, events and celebrations going on. Isla families and tourists alike enjoy their evenings at the Plaza eating tacos and pastries from the vendors, joining a pick-up basketball game, celebrating Mass at the church and watching the world go by.

The Malecons are seaside promenades, lined with places sit, stroll, palm trees and sculptures. Vendors sell their wares and sometimes there are musicians or other entertainment.

Goddess Ixchel (Guerrero & Abasolo) in Mayan times, Isla was a sanctuary dedicated to Ixchel.

Punta Sur is located at the southern tip of Isla Mujeres, roughly 60 feet above sea level, where the rising sun first touches Mexican soil. Its rocky cliffs, the waves crashing on the shore and the multitude of blues of the Caribbean Sea make up some of the most spectacular scenery on the island.

This is the highest elevation in the Yucatan and was home to an ancient temple honoring the Mayan Goddess Ixchel, rebuilt after it was partially destroyed in Hurricane Gilbert. Because it was built on high ground, archaeologists believe the temple was also used as a lighthouse to guide trade boats coming from Cozumel, Tulum and Xaman-ha (Playa del Carmen).

For such a small island Isla Mujeres is a foodie’s paradise! There is something for everyone – American, Mediterranean, Italian, French, Asian and of course Mexican and the freshest seafood you can get. Dishes like ceviche, grilled shrimp and lobster and an ancient Mayan dish called Tik’n Xic – a whole fish marinated in achiote, a mild chilli red sauce, and then grilled over an open fire.

Visitors have said that they come back to Isla every year not just for the beautiful beaches and friendly people but for the food!

Dolphin Discovery: An experience of a lifetime! Swimming with the dolphins is everything you have imagined and more. Everybody will delight in this hands-on experience, listening to the dolphins sing, watching them “tail walk”, and even hugging and kissing these people-loving creatures.

We also booked a Golf Cart US $60.00 for 2 hours, you can drive from one end to the other of the Island and make stops, to buy food drinks, see iconic sites, as mentioned above take pictures and do much more.

The Isla Mujeres was a great day tour, definitely worth going if you like the beaches, history, food and many more activities, the island has to offer.
