Gervonta”Tank” Davis VS Lamont Roach NY Press Conference-2024

Gervonta “Tank” Davis Returns To Defend WBA Lightweight World Championship Against WBA Super Featherweight World Champion Lamont Roach On Saturday, March 1 Headlining A PBC Pay-Per-View Event On Prime Video From Barclays Center In Brooklyn.

Boxing superstar and WBA Lightweight World Champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis went face-to-face with red-hot WBA Super Featherweight World Champion Lamont Roach at a press conference in Brooklyn on Tuesday to preview their lightweight world championship clash that headlines a PBC Pay-Per-View event on Prime Video on Saturday, March 1 from Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

A five-time, three-division world champion, Davis returns to Barclays Center where he set the building’s record for the highest-grossing and most-attended boxing event when he scored a highlight-reel KO of Rolando Romero in May 2022.

At Tuesday’s press conference, the fighters re-ignited their rivalry that dates back to their amateur days and promised fireworks when they meet in the ring on March 1. The press tour will continue on Thursday with an open to the public press conference in Washington, D.C.

Tickets for the live event go on sale Thursday, December 5 beginning at 10 a.m. ET and will be available through ticketmaster.com.

Pre-sale tickets are AVAILABLE NOW until 9 a.m. ET on Thursday, December 5 through ticketmaster.com with the code: PBC.

In addition to the PPV being available for purchase on Prime Video, regardless of Prime membership, fans will also be able to continue to access the telecast through traditional cable and satellite outlets as well as PPV.com.The event is promoted by GTD Promotions and TGB Promotions.

Here is what the fighters had to say Tuesday from Barclays Center: GERVONTA DAVIS “I’m gonna chop, chop, bob and weave. I’m gonna end it in the ninth round.

“I like to show people that they aren’t who they say they are. I like to prove it to the people they come with. My first time winning the title, the whole building doubted me.

“I’m excited to be a part of this and come March 1, this is gonna be a great event. It’s gonna be an exciting show, with the same results as always. You just have to wait and see.

“The people’s energy here is amazing. I won my first championship here and I have more followers from New York than almost anywhere. New Yorkers come with great energy.

“Lamont’s got skills. Even at a smaller weight class. He’s one of the guys who I came up with in the sport of boxing, and he’s still doing well. He’s definitely a top opponent and everyone will see that on March 1. “We’ll have to test his chin come March 1. He might think my opponents don’t have chins, but we’ll definitely test it. I say leave the kids at home.”

LAMONT ROACH: “I shouldn’t be here if I didn’t believe I’m gonna win. I’ve hurt everybody that I’ve been in the ring with and this won’t be any different.

“This is a hell of an opportunity and we’re gonna conquer it. Everyone knows what I’m coming to do. And if you don’t, you’ll be surprised. I’m gonna show you what happens when two dogs go in the ring together.

“My team built my career from the ground up. I have the same team from when I turned professional and we took on the best fights for my career. I worked myself to the number one contender spot, lost a fight and bounced back. We have a common opponent in Hector Luis Garcia and I beat him easily.

“The Frank Martin fight was relatively easy for him. It is what it is. Frank was inexperienced and nervous. This is going to be a different fight when I’m in there. He’s gonna be a different fighter when he’s fighting me.

“It’s a big difference fighting each other in the amateurs and fighting now. We’ve both evolved and gotten better and do different things in the ring. There might be some tendencies that we already know, but I don’t expect those things to matter on the big stage. “I don’t care about being the underdog or being the favorite. Either way, I’m gonna win.”

Exclusive Interview with Sheynnis Palacios Miss Universe -2023

Sheynnis Palacios is a 23-year-old mental health advocate and audiovisual producer from Managua, Nicaragua. She usually prefers to be behind the camera, but she’s come out of the wings because she believes in finding solutions for as many of the world’s problems as she can.

As a problem-solving kind of person, she put herself through the communications program at her university by working in her mom’s snack business.

When the business faltered in an economic crisis, her mother migrated north to find a better job, and she became the economic and emotional support for her grandmother and young brother. Her cause this year will be mental health, which stems from her own experiences with anxiety.

Coming from a country where this issue is rarely addressed, she started an accessible initiative called “Understand Your Mind,” in which she interviews a specialist on emotional care in her television segments.

She has also produced events and other audiovisual projects on this theme. Her goal in life is to work in the service of humanity, by running a newsroom and producing content and commercials for international brands.

In her spare time, she rescues cats and dogs, and loves a good mental game and puzzle. Miss Nicaragua Sheynnis Palacios won the Miss Universe competition late Saturday night in El Salvador, the first to wear the crown from her country.

I had the pleasure of interviewing Miss Universe 2023, Sheynnis Palacios at the Empire State Building New York city on the 86th floor. See her exclusive interview in our World Liberty TV , Fashion Channels by clicking here.

Tompkins Square Park Halloween Dog Parade-2023

BY: Adal Hussain, Chief Editor,  Thompkins Square Park NYC Oct 21st 2023

In addition to the traditional parade activities, an “experiential area” will be added this year across from the parade route on Avenue B and 7th St. with activities, services and sample stations.

The event is already the largest Halloween dog costume contest in NYC—and perhaps even in the world—and now it’ll be bigger than ever before.

The Tompkins Square Park Dog Run announced the news on Instagram this morning, writing “Keep working on those costumes…THE PARADE! IS! BACK! ON!

Their announcement thanked sponsor Get Joy, a local dog wellness startup, for saving the parade. Parade leaders also thanked Mayor Eric Adams and Councilwoman Carolina Rivera “for quickly jumping into action.”

For more than three decades the Tompkins Square Park Halloween Dog Parade has been a tradition welcoming hundreds of dogs in adorable outfits.

“It’s a celebration of joy, creativity and the unbreakable bond between humans and their four-legged best friends,” Fern Watt, dog author and communications officer of the Tompkins Square Park Dog Run, said in a press release.

“It’s basically the Met Gala for the Canine Community. We’ve been overcome by the amazing display of support from our community, so call the pup-arazzi: the show will go on!”

Watt will serve as a judge for the event, alongside Get Joy founder/CEO Tom Arrix, Get Joy’s Veterinary Advisor Dr. Brett Levitzke of VERG Brooklyn, and others.

Expect incredible prizes for winners of various costume contest categories, including best in show, people’s choice, most creative and more.

Year after year, the canine costumes prove remarkably elaborate and conceptual, so get creative. Some of our favorite looks from past years include Phantom of the Opera, Starbarks, and even an NYC garbage can. The ingenuity knows no bounds.

This isn’t the first time the parade has faced cancellation, by the way. Amid the pandemic in 2020, the parade paused, but it came roaring back in 2021.

What started as a small gathering among friends has ballooned into a cornerstone of New York City’s Halloween season, drawing thousands of spectators to the East Village to marvel, coo and laugh at creations that somehow become more elaborate every year.

When everything runs smoothly, Garrett Russo, who created the event and organized it for nearly 30 years, said the parade can raise more than $50,000 for the Tompkins Square Park dog run, where dogs can run around off-leash in a gated area. It was the city’s first.

The money goes toward resurfacing the dog park and regular maintenance, and many of the city’s dog parks have arrangements with private groups to take care of such areas.

Thousands of people attended the 2023 Tompkins Square Park Halloween Dog Parade-2023, see more in our World Liberty TV, Political Channels by clicking here.
