The ISC East Day 1 Keynote, “Securing NYC: Technology and Innovation in Public Safety,” was delivered by Kaz Daughtry, Deputy Mayor for Public Safety, New York City on Wednesday, November 19.
Drawing on nearly two decades of experience with the NYPD, Deputy Mayor Daughtry will explore how New York City is leveraging cutting-edge technology to address an evolving threat landscape.
Highlights included the expansion of the NYPD Drone Program, which enhances situational awareness, emergency response, and community trust.
Amanda Mason, VP of Intelligence at Related Companies, headlined the Day 2 keynote on Thursday, November 20. Presented by the SIA Women in Security Forum, Mason’s keynote, “Protecting New York’s Critical Infrastructure: A Hudson Yards Perspective,” offered an exclusive look into the complexities of securing the largest private real estate development in U.S. history.

Mason delved into the intersection of cyber, physical, and geopolitical risks and highlight strategies for integrating intelligence into operations to protect critical assets.

This event honored New York Police Commissioner Jessica S. Tisch and featured a keynote address from James O’Neill, former Police Commissioner of New York City and current Head of Global Security at Visa. The Person of the Year Luncheon addressed the importance of public-private partnerships, highlighting how the security industry collaborates with the NYPD and other agencies to ensure the protection and safety of people, businesses, and critical infrastructure.
