Hermen van den Burg has been exposed to consumer trends and tastes for all his live – from the family retail business in his childhood to various international design awards in his adolescent. These experiences allowed him to participate in many large and global projects at a young age, which even resulted in him being the international image ambassador for a Dutch product. Hermen continued to increase his international experience as a shareholder of a home decoration business that exported to 40 countries around the world. Next to these he personally set up various businesses in the Netherlands, the U.S. and China.

 Later in life Hermen started his own design company in the Netherlands that became the leading trend forecast agency for home decoration and life style products. This company advised many major companies around the world (including Ikea and Target) on immediate and short-term consumer trends.

 Working on an international stage with global consumers has been a second nature to Hermen. Currently he is consolidating his comprehensive knowledge and experience of manufacturing, importing and retailing for the benefit of Burg in the European, American and Asian markets.

The 58th Anniversary of the International Debutante Ball – New York

Forty-seven young women took their bows at the 58th Anniversary of the International Debutante Ball, one of the most beautiful and glamorous family events of the holiday season.

The debutantes represented England, Scotland, France, The Netherlands, China, and fifteen American states. Each debutante was accompanied by her own escort in white tie and tails, and a military cadet in dress uniform who carried the flag of the country or state which she represents.

The International Debutante Ball provides a social context where young women and men from all over the world meet one another, have a wonderful and romantic time, and form lasting friendships. Over the past decades, daughters of Diplomats, Ambassadors, Governors, Presidents, ancient European titles and distinguished Americans from all over the country have been brought together by the Ball.

The International Debutante Ball Foundation supports numerous charities including The Soldiers, Sailors’, Marines’, Coast Guard and Airmen’s Club, a home away from home for the military and their families.

Exclusive Interview with Manny Pacquiao, Eight -Time World Boxing Champion – New York, 2012

Manny Pacquiao is a Filipino professional boxer and politician. He is the first eight-division world champion, in which he has won ten world titles, as well as the first to win the lineal championship in four different weight classes. He is also the second highest paid athlete in the world.

He was named “Fighter of the Decade” for the 2000s decade by the Boxing Writers Association of America (BWAA), World Boxing Council (WBC) and World Boxing Organization (WBO). He is also a three-time The Ring and BWAA “Fighter of the Year,” winning the award in 2006, 2008 and 2009, and the Best Fighter ESPY Award in 2009 and 2011.

Pacquiao met Juan Manuel Márquez on December 8, 2012, for a fourth time, in a non-title bout at welterweight. Pacquiao was knocked out with one second left in the sixth round by a right to the jaw, giving Marquez the KO win.

Pacquiao is scheduled for a non-title bout at welterweight on November 23, 2013, at the Venetian Macao Resort & Hotel in Macau of the special administrative regions in China against The Ring ranked #6 Junior Welterweight Brandon Ríos. This will be Pacquiao’s first fight to be held in China.
