DAZN, the world’s largest dedicated live and on-demand sports streaming service, today announced the details of its expansion into the U.S. This follows parent company Perform Group’s $1 billion joint venture with Matchroom Boxing, one of the world’s leading boxing promoters, and a nine-figure multiyear global distribution agreement with Bellator MMA, a leading global combat sports franchise owned by Viacom. The first-ever fight night will be headlined by heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua and Alexander “The Russian Warrior” Povetkin as the two battle for Joshua’s WBA, IBF and WBO titles on Sept. 22 live from Wembley Stadium in London.

Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams Dominican Heritage event at Brooklyn Boro Hall -2018

For the past three decades, Eric L. Adams has served the residents of the city of his birth as a police officer, state senator and coalition builder. In November of 2013, he was elected to represent all of Brooklyn as borough president. Born in Brownsville and educated in the City’s public school system, Eric is committed to ensuring Brooklyn’s bright future by helping each and every Brooklynite reach his or her full potential.

Throughout his career, Eric has been an effective advocate for Brooklyn, bringing people and communities together to create progressive change, and working with both the private and public sectors to invigorate the borough’s economy by encouraging job growth and investment in every neighborhood.

Eric Adams, did the Brooklyn Dominican Heritage celebration at Brooklyn Borough Hall , Honoring the 2018 Dominican Day Parade inc, committee and its members.

The Program started with Wilton Cedeno ,welcoming guests and playing of the Dominican National Anthem. Remarks were made by Eric Adams , Brooklyn Borough President , Council member Antonio Reynoso , presented award to ,Helena Grant ,who is an Director of Midwifery at New York University School  of Medicine /Woodhull , she received the Adopted Dominican Award, next honoree, was introduced by Mrs Maria Khury ,Chairwoman of The Dominican Day Parade (DDP), presented The Dominican Brooklyn Borough Award  to Yamilky Crisostomo.

Live performance was by  Raices Dance Troupe, Michelle Martinez, and Mariano Cersa Soloist.Close to 100 people were in attendance .

Specialty Food Association Presents Fancy Food Show NYC-2018

The fastest-growing segment of the food industry, specialty food, is meeting this weekend in New York at the 64th annual Summer Fancy Food Show. Presented by the Specialty Food Association (SFA), a not-for-profit association with over 3,500 members, including food artisans, importers, buyers and entrepreneurs, the show features 2,600+ companies exhibiting over 200,000 specialty foods – something for every palate.

“Specialty food industry sales hit $140.3 billion in 2017 and growth of specialty foods is far outpacing the overall food industry,” said Phil Kafarakis, SFA president. “We’re seeing new innovations launch every day and enormous interest from every channel – online to brick-and-mortar retail to foodservice. Our members and affiliated businesses are passionate about what they do and are driving trends across categories. SFA champions the industry and our Fancy Food Shows are designed to bring everyone together to network, learn, and conduct critical business.”
