Ronald McDonald House New York Raises Critical Funds to support families battling pediatric Cancer and other serious Illnesses during 31st Annual Gala.

Event featured exciting live auction led by former MLB Outfielder and New York Mets hall of famer Mookie Wilson; special recognition of RMH-NY family battling pediatric cancer; and more.

Hundreds of New Yorkers gathered for Ronald McDonald House New York (RMH-NY) 31st Annual Gala on Wednesday October 25th at Pier Sixty, which raised critical funds to further the organization’s mission to advance health equity and provide care, support and services to families battling pediatric cancer and other serious illnesses.

“Helping families to stay together and focus on beating their child’s illness is at the heart of our mission at Ronald McDonald House New York”, said Dr. Ruth Browne, president and CEO of Ronald McDonald House New York. “By providing vital care, support and services that address the social determinants of health, our programs ensure that there is an integrated approach to treatment that advances health equity among vulnerable and at risk populations.

This year’s Gala raised significant funds that will not only enable us to continue to support families as they fight the most difficult battles of their lives, but ensure they win.

We are deeply grateful to our honorees, Sponsors, and to all who contributed to the success of this year’s special celebration.

To begin the festivities, Dr. Browne and Bobby Grubert, managing director for Royal Bank of Canada and long- time supporter of RMH-NY, welcomed guests and recognized this year’s honoree’s for their unwavering dedication to advancing RMH-NY’s mission : Steven J Besinger , senior advisor at Howden Tiger and RMH-NY chairman emeritus; Timothy C. Gokey , chief executive officer at Broadridge Financial Solutions ; Tariq Hassan, chief marketing and customer experience officer at Mcdonald’s USA; Carla Zakhem –Hassan, chief marketing officer at JPMorgan Chase, and Rob Manfred, Commissioner of baseball.

During the program, RMH-NY also honored the Cueto family, who is staying at the organization’s House in Manhattan as their eight – year old son Oliver receives treatment for cancer.

To celebrate their continued strength and resilience, RMH-NY presented the family with honorary New York Yankees jerseys, just weeks after organizing their attendance at a Yankees game in partnership with MasterCard 2023 Gala honoree Rob Manfred.

As part of the special event, guests also enjoyed a live auction led by former MLB outfielder and New York Mets Hall of Famer Mookie Wilson, exciting activations, and a silent auction complete with a variety of stunning art pieces, collectibles, luxurious tropical getaways and more.

RMH-NY supports families from New York City, across the U.S and around the world in the fight against pediatric cancer and other serious illnesses through the house on East 73rd Street in Manhattan as well as in partnering New York City hospitals.

The 31st Annual Gala was made possible through major event sponsors including co-sponsors Howden  Tiger ,AIG, and JPMorgan Chase, as well as leadership sponsors Ariel Re, Broadridge Financial Solutions, The Hartford, Mastercard and PwC.

Ronald McDonald House of New York 26th Annual Gala -2018

Ronald McDonald House® New York held its 26th Annual Gala last night at the Grand Hyatt New York’s Empire State Ballroom and raised more than $4.2 million to support families and their children battling pediatric cancer.

The proceeds raised will also help support the House’s facility operations, which recently re-opened to a 95-room residence, enabling children to have life-saving treatment while keeping their families close. This includes six new suites for families with children who recently received a transplant, the only suites of their kind outside of a hospital in the country.

This year’s gala was emceed by NY1 news anchors Cheryl Wills and Anthony Pascale, and honored President and Chief Executive Officer of Mastercard, Ajay Banga, and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of G-III Apparel Group, Morris Goldfarb, for their contributions and service to Ronald McDonald House® New York.

23rd Annual Skate with the Greats to benefit Ronald McDonald House NYC -2017

Since our founding in 1978, Ronald McDonald House® New York has provided temporary lodging and care for more than 35,000 families while their child battles cancer.

When families must travel to New York City for the advanced cancer treatment they can’t get anywhere else, they can find a loving place to stay at our House. We’re proud to provide a supportive, caring place that keeps families close when they need each other most.

Located on East 73rd Street in Manhattan and in close proximity to 13 major cancer treatment centers, Ronald McDonald House New York welcomes children and families from across the country and the world. The House can accommodate 84 families and is filled to capacity almost every night.

Ronald McDonald House New York’s 23rd Annual Skate with the Greats, where you had a chance to mingle with stars from NHL’s New York Rangers Alumni! Attendees enjoyed  ice skating with the Rangers on the iconic Rockefeller Center rink, a live and a silent auction with much sought-after sports memorabilia, and an autograph session with some of their favorite Rangers players took place.

This event is made possible by the support of Hall of Famers and longtime volunteers Rod Gilbert and Brian Leetch, as well as many other Rangers Greats and RBC Capital Markets.

Interview with Chef Daniel (Dan) Coudreaut for McDonald’s USA, LLC – 2011

Dan Coudreaut (born 1965), known to his colleagues as “Chef Dan”, is the executive chef at McDonald’s.

Coudreaut was responsible for the addition of several items to McDonald’s national menu, including:

 Asian and Southwest Chicken Salads
 Angus and Chicken Snack Wraps
 Angus Burger line of sandwiches
 McCafe coffee drinks
 Oatmeal
 Real Fruit Smoothie beverages
 Spicy Premium Chicken sandwich

Chef Dan also sings lead vocals in “Chef Dan and the Appetizers” which is a classic rock band formed by McDonald’s employees in 2008 to raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Exclusive Interview with Brian Leetch Former NY Rangers Great-2017

Brian Leetch is a former American professional ice hockey player with an estimated net worth of $50 million. Brian Leetch’s love for hockey began when he was a kid. In high school, he joined the Cheshire High School hockey team. He played for two seasons for Avon Old Farms School hockey team, then he was selected as the first round, 9th overall pick by the New York Rangers during the 1986 NHL Draft.

Leetch made up for all this lost time in 1993-94 as the .

Rangers won their first Stanley Cup in more than 50 years. He led the way as the top scorer in the post season and was named the Conn Smythe trophy winner as the most valuable player of the playoffs, becoming the first American-born player to win the award.

In 1997 the New York Rangers named Brian Leetch their captain upon the departure of Mark Messier, putting him on centre stage in the high-pressure media capital of the world.

Among other accomplishments on the international stage, Leetch has represented his country three times at the World Junior Championships in 1985, 1986 and 1987 where he was named to the First All-Star Team. A member of the U.S. World Championship team in 1989, Canada Cup team in 1991 and winning World Cup team in 1996 and participant in 2004, Leetch was one of 12 players voted to the All-Time USA Hockey Team in 1997.
