4th Annual Japan Day Parade NYC-2025

Beginning on Central Park West at West 81st Street and traveling south to West 67th Street, the Japan Parade featured: the music and taiko groups Soh Daiko, COBU and Taiko Masala Dojo, the choir group HARLEM JAPANESE GOSPEL CHOIR, the traditional dance troupes.

The Japanese Folk Dance Institute of NY, and Yosakoi Dance Project – 10tecomai / KAZANAMI, martial arts groups International Karate Organization KYOKUSHINKAIKAN and kendo dojo New York Kenshinkai. Marchers from Anime NYC joined the parade in Japan-themed costumes.

There are Japanese language schools and organizations participating in the Parade, and they include: THE JAPANESE SCHOOL OF NEW YORK (The Greenwich Japanese School), Japanese Children’s Society, Inc., Keio Academy of New York, and The New Jersey Japanese School, and many more.

Chef Masaharu Morimoto served as the parade’s Grand Marshall, and Sandra Endo, news correspondent on KTVV Los Angeles, Fox 11 News and feature reporter for Good Day LA, served as Emcee of the parade.

Participating groups showed Japan’s various attractions, such as culture, tradition, sports, music, cosplay, etc. for everyone’s enjoyment.

Following the great success of the last three years, the 4th annual Japan Parade in New York City was held on Saturday, May 10, beginning at 1pm. Starting on Central Park West at West 81st Street and traveling south to West 67th Street, the purpose of the parade is to celebrate, express, and bring awareness to the friendship between NYC and Japan with a thank you from the Japanese community. Chef Masaharu Morimoto is this year’s Grand Marshall and Koji Soto is this year’s Japan Parade Community Leader.

Sandra Endo, news correspondent on KTVV Los Angeles, Fox 11 News, and a feature reporter for Good Day LA, will serve as Emcee of the parade.

The Japan Street Fair will feature tents offering fun and educational cultural activities including calligraphy, water balloon yo-yo fishing, origami, photo opportunities, and a giveaway. In collaboration with JAPAN Fes, one of the largest organizers of Japanese food festivals in the world that hosts over 20 Japanese food fair events a year in New York City, the Street Fair will also feature about 20 tents serving authentic Japanese food.

The latest information on Japan’s many tourist destinations will be made available at several other tents, and as with last year, there will also be a tent where visitors may donate to a charitable cause. The Japan Street Fair is your chance to experience a Japanese festival, or matsuri, unlike any other.

It was our 3rd annual appearance at the Japanese day parade, thousands of people lined up on the streets on 81st and Central park West, and thousands more at The Japan Street Fair trying many different Japanese foods, desserts and beverages.

Honored guests included: Iron Chef Restauranteur and Author Masaharu Morimoto, who was also the Grand Marshall of the 2025 Parade. Koji Sato, president of the Japanese American Association of New York & 2025 Japan Parade Community leader. Mikio MORI Ambassador, Consul-General of Consulate General of Japan, New York, were the force behind putting on a parade on this magnitude.

Other political guests in attendance included: Mayor Eric Adams, New York State Comptroller, Thomas P. DiNapoli, Council member Gale Brewer, representatives from NY Governor’s office, Assembly members and many more in attendance. Emcee for the 4th year in a row was classy Sandra Endo, news correspondent on KTVV Los Angeles, Fox 11 News, and a feature reporter for Good Day LA and Mayor of Toyama Hirohisa Fuji , who traveled from japan to be part of the parade.

Organic Spa’s, 2025 Media Event, Experience Wellness and Travel NYC-2025

The event welcomed hundreds of industry experts, media and influencers to Andaz hotel located on 5th Avenue in New York City that take part in one of the most sought-after gatherings of the year.

Highlights included a line-up top speakers and panel discussions, immersive beauty and spa activations, and relaxing and experiential wellness moments including sound bowl healing, meditation and yoga.

The growth and intersection of today’s health, wellness, beauty and travel sectors will be celebrated during the day-long event.

This year’s event featured Organic Spa Media’s “Wellness Around the Globe” symposium, which took place throughout the day.

keynote speakers included Amanda Kloots, fitness entrepreneur, bestselling author and television personality. Also speaking was award-winning travel journalist and world explorer Peter Greenberg, and so many more.

The interactive, educational agenda of speakers, panel discussions and robust conversation about wellness travel, spa trends, healthy living solutions and organic beauty products was streamed live to Organic Spa’s highly engaged virtual audience as well. All media attendees enjoyed an organic gourmet lunch specially curated for this event by chefs from Andaz hotel.

Hot topics for the 2025 panels included Facelift in your Fridge Demonstration, sponsored by Dr. Nicholas Perricone, Perricone Hydrogen Water and The Beauty Molecule book, “Wellness & Transformational Travel”; “Clean Soil, Clean Ingredients, Clean Beauty,” “Hormone Health & Beauty,” “Touchless Wellness Trends,” “Slow Travel,” “The Pleasure Principle”.

I also enjoyed meeting and listening to Mary Beth O’Connor, Area VP of Luxury Partnerships- Leisure, Reimagine, on a Panel titled, Trends in Wellness and Transformative Travel.

Since its inception in 2011, Organic Spa’s signature event has grown from 100 to more than 400 attendees both virtually and in person.

As part of the media’s ongoing commitment to philanthropy, a percentage of the proceeds from this year’s event will also be donated to one of the leading world water foundation charities.

Interview with Boxing Great Sugar Shane Mosley 3 Time World Champion-2025

Retired American professional boxer from Pomona, California. Mosley has held world titles in three weight divisions. He held the IBF Lightweight Championship, WBC & WBA (Super) Welterweight Championships and WBC, WBA (Super) & The Ring Light Middleweight Championships.

“Sugar” Shane Mosley is a renowned American former professional boxer, known for his explosive style and impressive record. He held world titles in three different weight divisions, including the IBF Lightweight title, WBC Welterweight title, and WBA (Super) and WBC Light Middleweight titles. Mosley’s career spanned from 1993 to 2016, during which he earned numerous accolades and fought some of the sport’s top contenders.

Born Shane Donte Mosley on September 7, 1971, in Lynwood, California. He grew up in Pomona, California, and started boxing as an amateur.Amassed over 200 wins as an amateur, including multiple U.S. Amateur championships. Fought against future Hall of Famer Oscar De La Hoya as an amateur, winning on points. He trained with his father, Jack Mosley, who was also a boxer

Turned professional in 1993 and quickly established himself as a dominant force. Defeated Philip Holiday in 1997 to win the IBF Lightweight title and defended it eight times, all by KO. Defeated Oscar De La Hoya in 2000 to win the WBC Welterweight title. Defeated De La Hoya again in 2002 to win the WBC and WBA (Super) Light Middleweight titles.

Known for his explosive power and ability to land devastating punches. Nicknamed “Sugar” early in his career, which he wore with pride. Was voted the best fighter in the world by The Ring magazine in 2000 and 2001.

A three-time world champion, holding titles in three different weight divisions. His legacy is marked by impressive KO percentages and dominant performances. He is widely regarded as one of the most exciting and entertaining boxers of his generation. Inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2023.

Interview with Vergil Ortiz Jr, 2 Time World Boxing Champion-2025

The undefeated knockout monster and current WBC Interim Super Welterweight World Champion, Vergil Ortiz Jr., (23-0, 21 KOs), is one of the most dangerous fighters of this generation. His love for boxing began at five years old when he was introduced to the sport by his father. As a decorated amateur, he is a seven-time national champion and winner of the 2013 Junior Olympics with an impressive record of 140-20.

He went on to sign with Golden Boy in 2016 and made his professional debut on July 30 at the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino with a first-round knockout of Julio Rodas. Since then, he has built an enviable fighter resume that reflects over 90-percent knockouts, and has made some of the world’s toughest contenders fold to his tremendous power including Antonio “Relentless” Orozco, Brad “King” Solomon, Maurice “Mighty Mo” Hooker and Michael McKinson, to name a few.

In August 2024, Ortiz Jr. secured the WBC Interim super welterweight title in a bout that is lauded as a candidate for Fight of the Year, where he went toe-to-toe with the also formerly undefeated Serhii Bohachuk. He was most recently seen defending his title in dominant fashion against the elite and former WBA super welterweight champion, Israil Madrimov, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Feb. 22, 2025.

With this masterclass victory over Madrimov, Ortiz Jr. further proves why the boxing world considers him an ‘old-school’ type of fighter.

Exclusive Interview with Jesse “Bam Bam” Rodriguez 2 Time World Boxing Champion-2025

Jesse “Bam Bam” Rodriguez is a 24-year-old American professional boxer, currently holding the WBC junior bantamweight title. He is a two-division champion, having also previously held the WBC super-flyweight title and unified WBO and IBF flyweight titles.

Rodriguez, trained by Robert Garcia, is known for his southpaw stance and impressive knockout power.Rodriguez began his boxing journey in the amateur ranks, winning national titles and a silver medal at the Junior World Championships.

He turned professional in 2017 and quickly gained recognition for his knockout power, amassing a record of 14 wins and 0 losses by the end of 2021. He won the WBC super-flyweight title in 2022, becoming the youngest titleholder in boxing at the time.

Rodriguez has held both the WBC super-flyweight and the unified WBO and IBF flyweight titles, making him a two-division champion. He has faced and defeated notable opponents like Carlos Cuadras, Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, and Juan Francisco Estrada.

His recent victory over Estrada in June 2024 earned him the WBC junior bantamweight title. Rodriguez is currently ranked as one of the world’s best light-flyweight and junior-bantamweight boxers by The Ring magazine. He is trained by Robert Garcia, a renowned boxing coach.
