Great Temples of Bangkok Thailand -2024

We had a great pleasure visiting some of the most iconic temples located in Bangkok Thailand, we had the pleasure of visiting, the following Temples below:

Grand Palace & Buildings in Bangkok Thailand: The Supreme Grand Palace’) is a complex of buildings at the heart of Bangkok, Thailand. The palace has been the official residence of the Kings of Siam (and later Thailand) since 1782. The king, his court, and his royal government were based on the grounds of the palace until 1925.

In the present time, The Royal Family resides at Chitralada Palace while The Grand Palace is used for ceremonial purposes. Located at the heart of Bangkok, Thailand, the Grand Palace was a former residence for King Rama I to King Rama V of the Rattanakosin Kingdom.

Rather than being a single structure, the Grand Palace is made up of numerous buildings, halls, pavilions set around open lawns, gardens and courtyards. Its asymmetry and eclectic styles are due to its organic development, with additions and rebuilding being made by successive reigning kings over 200 years of history.

Wat Pho in Bangkok – The Temple of the Reclining Buddha: It is on Rattanakosin Island, directly south of the Grand Palace. … Known also as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, its official name is Wat Phra Chetuphon.

Wat Pho is our absolute favorite among Bangkok’s biggest sights. In fact, the compound incorporates a host of superlatives: the city’s largest reclining Buddha, the largest collection of Buddha images in Thailand and the country’s earliest center for public education.

Wat Pho is one of the top six temples in Thailand and is famous for the huge statue of the Reclining Buddha.

By huge, we mean so big it looks like the temple was built around it because there’s really no way it could have been squeezed through the door.

Wat Pho (more fully Wat Phracheatupon Vimonmungkraram) is the “Temple of the Reclining Buddha”. It is the one of the pagodas in Thailand.

It is the largest temple in Bangkok, and home of Thailand’s largest Buddha. It is the temple where the art of Thai massage was developed.

The Golden Mount (Wat Saket) Temple Bangkok: This temple is known for the Golden Mount or Phu Khao Thong, a high hill that offers stunning views at its summit over Rattanakosin Island.

The story of the Golden Mount begins during the late 1700s and early 1800s when King Rama III decided to build a massive stupa. Unfortunately, the king’s ambitious project collapsed shortly after its construction due to the soft soil being unable to support the weight of the structure.

Visitors are required to dress appropriately. Sandals and scarves cover the shoulders are allowed. These following clothes are strictly not allowed as outer garments for both ladies and gentlemen: Short shorts, mini-skirts, short skirts, torn jeans, see through, vests, tight fitting trousers or leggings.
